FAQ
What does "alchemy" mean?
Alchemy is an ancient art of transmuting one matter into another - most notably lead into gold. Carl Jung spent much of his career studying alchemy as a psychological process. At Alchemy Therapy and Wellness there is a focus in supporting clients in transmuting their shadows - the parts of themselves that are kept hidden due to things like shame, embarrassment, trauma, societal conditioning, etc. - into self-compassion, empowerment, grace, and strength.

I don't have any experience with therapy, is that okay?
Of course! Whether you are new to the therapeutic process, looking to begin therapy again after a hiatus, have had an uncomfortable experience with therapy in the past, or just curious about a new practice, all are welcome.
How long are sessions and do you take insurance?
At Alchemy, 30 minute or 50 minute sessions are offered for individual therapy. We are primarily an out-of-network provider, but do accept a few specific insurance plans. Sliding scale rates are available on a case by case basis. At the moment, Alchemy is a virtual practice. All appointments will be held via a secure Telehealth platform. We have plans to offer in-person services in the future so please stay tuned!
